

He was born on February 14, 1941 in Gallop, New Mexico to David Leroy Woods and Sarah Josephine Billingsly. He is survived by his sister, Sue and preceded in death by his siblings Evelyn, David Jr, and Charles (Charlie).
Harold graduated from Colton High School in San Bernadino, California and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career in telecommunications with Pacific Bell in California, retiring in 1992.
He was a devoted husband to Susan (Sue) for 35 years, a loving father to Deborah, Linda and Daniel and step father to Misty, Sunia and John. He was grandfather to Kaitlin, Brett, Chris, Tucker, Zackery and Kainoa and great grandfather to seven grandchildren.
Harold will be remembered for his steady kindness, quiet generosity and unwavering support of those he loved. He had a lifelong fascination with the space program and found great joy in watching the space shuttles launch and land. He enjoyed travelling, collecting video games and building an elaborate Christmas Village each year.
Services: Visitation will be at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, 400 Freeport Pkwy, Coppell, Texas on February 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be following visitation at 1:30 at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas
