Philmon Philip was born to Philip Chirayil and Aleyamma Philip in
Kuruppanthara, Kerela India. At the age of 18, he moved to the United
States. He resided in Dallas, Houston, and Chicago, with his family.
In 1993, he graduated from Triton College, in Illinois, as a Diagnostic
Medical Sonographer. In 1997, Fini became his wife and they started
their life together in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. God blessed them with their
firstborn, Tara, in 2001. They moved to Dallas in 2005 and welcomed
their son, Benjamin. In 2012, Noah came along. Philmon was a very
outgoing character. He loved spending time with his big family and staying
connected with all his friends. Phil enjoyed nature, taking his family on
road trips, and capturing these precious moments through photography.
He was always physically active and played volleyball and basketball. His
favorite hobby was singing. All his life, he was dedicated to his passion for
music and sharing it with others.
In 2018, he was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer and continued
undergoing treatments until his passing. He stayed strong all through this
journey, kept his faith in God, and always had that beautiful smile on his
face.
On Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, Phil joined The Lord in heaven.
He had a very peaceful departure, resting in his wife’s arms, and with his
kids beside him. The most blessed thing that happened hours before his
death was getting anointed and receiving The Eucharist from our priest.
Though we miss him dearly, his legacy will live on. Being with God, we
know he is in a better place and watching over each and every one of us.
