Robert William Delvo, born May 24, 1957, in Germersheim, Germany, was welcomed into heaven by our Lord Jesus Christ on August 30, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by Kim Delvo; daughter Ashleigh Goree (Jordan) and grandson Rhodes Goree; daughter Shelby Delvo; sister Marion Allen (Rocky) and nephew Charlie Allen; niece Ivy Dawn Delvo; and many other family and friends across the country. He was preceded in death by father Herman, mother Paula, and brother Paul who have undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into eternity.
Robert’s passion was spending time with family and friends, especially his daughters and grandson, all of whom he was so proud of. He had a tremendous career in the tire industry for over 40+ years and worked with many great organizations throughout the years. NTW brought Robert from Virginia to Texas in 1982 and he has worked with great people at many companies including Dunlop Tire, Falken Tire, Yokohama Tire, Sumitomo Tire, Bridgestone/Firestone, and most recently Southern Tire Mart. He was a highly respected employee and mentor, and a friend to everyone.
Robert was an avid traveler and was proud that he was able to visit almost every continent in the world. One of his biggest accomplishments was his love of hiking the Grand Canyon, which he did nine times, and his trek to the Holy Land a few years ago. He was an adrenaline junkie and adventurer and loved experiencing other cultures around the world.
