Saju Sebastian

December 12, 1966- August 11, 2018

After eight months of courageous battle with cancer Saju passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas, on August 11, 2018, at 11:50 AM. He is preceded in death by his father P.M. Devasia, Kalathiparambil,

Nalukody, Changanacherry, Kerala, in 2015. He is survived by his beloved mother Mrs. Aleykutty Devasia, Kalathiparambil, his loving wife of 29 years Janice Saju, his daughter Christin, her husband Praveen Varghese, and his younger brother Saji Sebastian.

Saju was born in Kerala and did his early education in Sacred Heart School, Changanacherry. At the age of 10, he accompanied his parents to Guwahati, Assam and continued his education in Kendriya Vidyalaya Maligaon, Assam. At the age of 19, he started his career as a Human Resources Professional in the Indian railway. At the early age of 21 he married his lovely wife Janice and between them have a beautiful daughter, Christin. Later on, he earned his Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Business Administration from the Mangalore University, India. After completing his education he started working as an IT Recruiter in Saudi Arabia. In 2001 he migrated to Virginia, USA, and subsequently moved to Dallas, Texas, in 2004. Once in Dallas, he joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield as an IT recruiter. At the time of his death he was serving as a Senior Technical Recruiter for them.

Saju was a faithful servant of God and lived a strong Christian life. He was an active member of the catholic community in Dallas, first as a member of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church in Garland, Texas, and later on as an active supporter and organizer of the Syro-Malabar mission church in Coppell, Texas. When the Coppell Mission church was elevated to the status of a parish he served this new church in various capacities, including parish council member as well as parish council secretary. Saju was also very active in the Dallas community at large, being an active member of various community organizations. He was the treasurer of WMC North Texas. Saju touched the lives of everyone he met with his passion, intensity of commitment, compassion and generosity. His love and devotion to his family was evident till the end.
