AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Thomas N Boone III

5 décembre 1949 – 8 octobre 2025
Avis de décès de Thomas N Boone III
AUX SOINS DE

Rolling Oaks Funeral Home

Thomas Nathaniel Boone III passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, with his devoted wife, Diane, by his side. They had recently celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary.

Tom was born on December 5, 1949, the third of four children, to Tom and Jane Boone, and grew up in Greensboro, NC with his three sisters, Patricia, Linda and Faye. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda.

As a young boy in the third grade, Tom was captivated by the lesson on “time” and quickly realized there wasn’t enough “time” in the 24-hour day to accomplish everything he wanted and needed to do.

He was active in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and was elected by his peers to the Order of the Arrow, the highest honor society of Scouting America then earned his Eagle Scout. As a young teen, Tom was employed as the Health Officer for five summers at the Boy Scout camp where he was known as “Dr. Boone.”

Tom held various leadership roles in high school and college, notably the President of the Student Government Association while at Lee’s McRae college.

Throughout his life, Tom was a kind, generous and loyal friend with numerous friendships from coast to coast. His wife Diane loving called him a “People Magnet.”

As a successful sales and marketing consultant, Tom was an entrusted business partner and associate during his professional career. He often liked to quote his favorite quote” I endeavor to persevere”.

The time spent with Tom Boone, if only for two minutes or two hours, would have been memorable with his distinctive voice evoking a smile, a giggle followed by joy and laughter, inevitably with humor, sage advice or wisdom, whatever the subject may be.

In his leisure time, Tom pursued seeking God through his creations as an avid outdoorsman and photographer with dozens of photos that captured the moments of grandeur. From trout fishing in the streams in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California…to trekking through the tundra and traversing the Brooks Range in Alaska…or rustling through the varied terrain, brush and cactus in West Texas.

A true modern day Renaissance Man and Road Warrior who traveled forty-two weeks a year during his professional career, Tom thoroughly enjoyed his new chapter in life called “Retirement”…time to relax. He loved being HOME in his chef’s kitchen, creatively cooking gourmet dinners and dancing with his wife Diane while catching up on his favorite TV show Gunsmoke.

An American Patriot, a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and Navy, Tom proudly and honorably served to protect the United States of America, her freedom and her flag…”Old Glory, long may she wave…I do not pray to the flag, I pray for the flag…Semper fi.” Tom Boone

Now in his eternal home, Tom will celebrate in the loving presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. “Jesus, I trust in you.” Tom Boone

“All glory to God who is able to keep you from stumbling and will bring you into His glorious presence innocent of sin and with great joy.”JUDE 1:24

May Tom’s memory be eternal and all of the lasting memories he created in the lives of those he touched along the way.

He will be deeply missed, never forgotten and forever in our hearts.
