Tommy Eugene Tisdale

Tommy “Tom” Eugene Tisdale, age 74, of Fairview, TX, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2017. The funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Ave, Allen, TX 75002. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 PM, prior to the funeral Mass. Tom was born in Madisonville, LA on December 7, 1942. He graduated from Glen Oaks High School, Baton Rouge, LA and continued to receive a Business Administration degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1965. Tom was married to Josie Labruzzo on January 30, 1966, in New Orleans, LA. They were married for 51 years. During their married life, they raised their family in Baton Rouge, LA, Atlanta, GA, Mandeville, LA, and Grapevine, TX and now reside in Fairview, TX. Tom liked to say, “I wasn’t born a Texan, but I got here as quick as I could!” Tom worked in the food industry for over 38 years, with Campbell Soup Company and ConAgra Foods. When he retired in 2006, he enjoyed golfing, traveling, cheering on his beloved LSU Tigers and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi, Grapevine, TX, where he was active in the Knights of Columbus. In Allen, TX, at St. Jude, he was installed as a 4th degree Knight. He also frequently volunteered at the Allen Food Pantry. Tom is survived by his wife, Josie, his children, Tom II and his wife, Sheri, Tara Coronado and her husband, Greg, and Travis and his wife, Freddy, and his seven precious grandchildren, Tyler & Audrey Tisdale, Taylor & Chase Coronado, Gretchen, Meredith and Hollis Tisdale. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Gloria Tisdale and brother-in-law, Vincent Labruzzo and wife, Pam, and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, H.B. & Arilla Tisdale, and his brother, Hezzie, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Allen Food Pantry (www.allenfoodpantry.org), located at St. Jude Catholic Church, Allen, TX.
