

Vicky was born on November 5, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents Bill and Dee Young. She attended Beeville for primary schools and George West High School. Vicky had a fun, full and fabulous life -- first, as a daughter; second, as a wife of 25 years to Robert Oren Martin; third, as a mother of four children; fourth, as a business owner; fifth, as the first woman to be elected to the Wylie Independent School District Board of Trustees in Collin County; sixth, as a “Gaymo” to seven grandchildren; and seventh, as a talented artist and world traveler.
Vicky is survived by three of her four children, David Clifton Martin, Sharon LeiAnn Scoggin and Karen Denise (Dede) Hajjoubi. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Randolph Wade Martin II, Taylor Wayne Martin, Austin Gage Scoggin, Megan Riley Martin, Mackenzie Laine Scoggin, Amira Jenin Nina Hajjoubi, Salahadeen Rayhan Hajjoubi. Vicky is survived by two brothers, William Edgar Young Jr. and Robert Allen Young; and two sisters-in-law, Mollie Bomar Young and Pamela Grace Bennett Young.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Rolling Oaks Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan Tucker will officiate.
