

WILLIAM WARREN (BILL) CULPEPPER, age 92 years, 8 months and 18 days, was born December 11, 1923 and died Monday, August 29, 2016 at his residence in Coppell, Texas. Bill was born on December 11, 1923 in Vinton, Louisiana to Wiley Henry Culpepper and Edna Bares Culpepper. The family later moved to Beaumont, Texas. He proudly served our country in the United States Army as a weather observer near the Alaskan border. Upon returning home from the Army he graduated from University of Texas with a degree in Business. He joined his father at Josey-Miller Feed Company as General Manager and eventually became owner. Bill married Mary Helen Sanders on June 18, 1950. They lived in Beaumont for many years raising their family. In 1991 they bought a home in Estes Park, Colorado where they had vacationed often. Bill and Helen loved living in Estes Park. He enjoyed playing tour guide to the many friends and family who visited them.
Bill’s hobbies included: working with his hands and through the years he built furniture, added onto houses, built garages, decks, patios and a gazebo. He was always ready to lend a hand to his children and friends when needed. Bill loved working jigsaw puzzles and watching the stock market.
He is survived by his wife Helen Culpepper, son Barry Culpepper and wife Trisha and son David Culpepper, daughter: Barbara Tapscott and daughter Donna Patton and husband John. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Jason and wife Libby and son Jack; Travis Culpepper,and wife Jamie and daughter Sophie; Danny Culpepper, Brian Tapscott, Kevin Tapscott, Michael Tapscott, Bradley Patton; and Bill’s beloved “little doggie”, Thorin.
