Bruce had a 30 year career with Schlumberger, initially working on offshore drilling rigs doing testing and then his latter years as explosives technician, building deep water perforating guns to order.
Bruce travelled the world, with his family as a child (his father was a geologist for Phillips 66) living in Australia (where he loved exploring as a child), Libya (when Ghadaffi took over), Switzerland and graduating high school from the American School in London, England. As an adult he worked on seismic boats off the coast of North Africa before starting his career with Schlumberger.
Bruce was known for always being there to lend a helping hand, no matter what the circumstance, and was much loved.
Bruce was a hunter, but also had a soft spot in his heart for dogs. Once a dog came into our house, it became a permanent family member. Over the years he was a dog-dad to 15 greyhounds, mostly seniors and special needs, and a few mixed breeds.
Bruce is preceded in death by his parents and a sister and survived by his wife of 35 years, his brother and two sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Per his request, there will not be a funeral service.
