Calvin Hempel

Memorial services for Calvin Hempel, 61, of Copperas Cove will be Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. There will be a visitation Monday, October 1, 2012 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Copperas Cove from 6-8 p.m.

Calvin was born August 16, 1951 in Gatesville, TX.

On September 26, 2012 Calvin answered the most important call of his life. Calvin is survived by his parents Melvin Hempel and Myrtle Blackstock. His brother Donald Hempel, two sons Jeremy Hempel and Tony Hempel and a daughter Christa Hempel and 7 loving grand kids, Dillan, Cayleigh, Kohlton Hempel and Jason Gamble, Keagan Kuni, Kairyn and Anthony Hempel along with many nieces and nephews. Calvin is preceded in death by his brothers Nathan and Edwin Hempel. Calvin spent much of his time fishing and hunting but more than that he loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He was always finding a reason to get the family together. You will be greatly missed. Until we meet again please remember love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you are close in heart.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at Extraco Bank in care of Jeremy Hempel.
