Edith Gail Adams, 78, of Oakalla, Texas passed away on January 24th, 2026.
Gail was born June 24th, 1947 in Lampasas, Texas, the daughter of Nolan Elsworth Carpenter and Ruby Janice Wells. Gail graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1965, then attended Durham’s Business College. Gail worked as a Contract Specialist for the US Army’s Procurement Division at Ft. Hood, Texas, in Berlin, West Germany, in Seoul, South Korea, and at Fort Irwin, California. After retiring from civil service, she was a member of the Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department.
Remaining to cherish Gail’s memory are husband Bill, sons Brian, Toby and Todd, grandchildren Alex, Nicholas, Allie, Travis and Marci, brother Nolan Jr. and sister Deborah, along with numerous family and friends. Preceding Gail in death are her first husband, Ronda, parents Nolan Sr. and Janice, and sisters Kay and Pamela.
A Graveside Service will be held on February 2nd at 2:00 PM at Tobey Cemetery under the care of Crawford Bowers Funeral Home.
