Gregorio Lopez-Burgos

On Sunday, September 18, 2022, Gregorio Lopez-Burgos, loving father of 3 children, passed away at the age of 89. Gregorio was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on March 3, 1933 to parents Iginio and Felicita Lopez Y Burgos.

He joined the US Army after high school. After his military stint, he moved to New York at the urging of one of his brothers, Eulogio. It was there, in New York, where he met his wife of over fifty years, Miguelina(deceased).

He is survived by his children; Maritzel, Nancy and Gregory and grandchildren; Johnny, Jose, James, Jordache, Anthony, Jemma, Marissa, Juan and Julie .

Gregorio, in his younger years, was an avid baseball player, and was once featured in New York's local hispanic newspaper "El Diario". Gregorio was the last surviving brother of a big family. His death was preceded by the passing of Eulogio, Reines, Geraldo, Juan and Manuel to name a few.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Crawford Bowers Funeral Copperas Cove with Interment to follow starting at 3:00 PM in the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
