

Harry Andrew Strickland, 91, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed away on August 13, 2024. Born on May 1, 1933, in Savannah Georgia, Harry dedicated over two decades of his life to the U.S. Army, serving from 1953 to 1973 including tours in Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. He retired after a distinguished 2O year military career, marked by a profound commitment to his country.
After his military service, Harry continued to engage with technology and mechanics, showing a particular fondness for working on clocks, computers, and various electronics. His home workshop was a sanctuary where he enjoyed tinkering with CB radios and other small projects.
Harry was a man of few words, but radiated energy and dedication in all his pursuits. His greatest devotion was to his family, especially his wife of over 30 years, Luisa Strickland. He is survived by Luisa; his children, Rosa Strickland Kerlick , Harry Strickland Jr., Lynda Darnell Mosier, and Larry Strickland, and many grandchildren who will love and miss him greatly.
Harry didn’t want a Memorial Service, but we know if he was here, he’d love to read & know any way he may have touched your lives even in simple ways- whether it be teaching you how to solve a problem or fix something.
