Ina "Nana" Reid

Services for Ina Reid 90 of Copperas Cove will be at 10 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Robertson Avenue Baptist Church in Copperas Cove. Burial will follow the service at Pidcoke Cemetery in Pidcoke.

Mrs. Reid was born to Ira and Anne Grise on May 31, 1921 in Ellsworth, KS and passed away on February 28,2012 in Copperas Cove. She was a graduate of Kanopolis High School and had worked in food service in schools for over 30 years. She married Alva Reid on December 31, 1942 in Seattle, WA. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge of Odd Fellows from 1946 to 1962. She also worked as “Rosie the Riveter”, from September 1942 to March 1943 in Seattle, WA.

She was preceded in death by he parents, her husband, a daughter Nancy Jameson and a son David Reid. Survivors include a son Roy R. Reid and wife Linda of Boyd, TX, a daughter Brenda Sherinian and husband Steve of Kempner, a daughter-in-law Shari Reid of Shreveport, LA., 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
