She was born and raised in Runnells, Iowa, but it was Texas where she found her true home. There, she built a life defined not by obligation, but by choice, creating a community of friends who became her family.
Jill was a strong, fiercely independent woman who was unapologetically herself. She will be remembered for her strength, her loyalty, her fierce advocacy for others, and her refusal to be anything other than exactly who she was.
She is survived by her daughter, Nichole (Mark) Walters, and her granddaughters, Molly Mae and Chloe Ann. She is also survived by her beloved circle of chosen family. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Nancy Moore, grandparents Fred and Dorothy Houseman, and sister Shelia McKeever.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
