

Joseph Freeman, 81, of Kempner, passed away May 14, 2010 in a Temple hospital.
He was born March 15, 1929 in Mt. Ash, Kentucky to Edward and Laura Freeman. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ. He served his country proudly in the United States Army retiring after 24 years. He was an outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing, boating and just being in nature with the animals. He was also a talented carpenter. Mr. Freeman donated his time as a musician playing the guitar and fiddle at many area retirement centers. He loved his country music.
With wind beneath my wings, He has raised me up to soar like an eagle.
He is survived by his wife, Gerda Freeman; daughters, Viola Hosler and husband George; Imogene Freeman, Linda Nanguata and husband William; grandchildren: Michelle, Sherry and Christopher Hosler
The family will have private funeral services in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
