Milton Earl Burreson Jr.

Stormy Burreson 64, of Copperas Cove, died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at his home. Cremation services have been entrusted to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Milton was born August 28, 1946 in Renton, Washington to Milton Earl Burreson Sr. and Ethel Ruth Rankin Burreson. Stormy joined the United States Navy July 13, 1966 and served two tours in Vietnam. During his time in the military he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal. Stormy was employed as a fork lift operator and supervisor for the Civil Service from 1974 to 2006 in Sacramento, CA. He married Cheryle Lynn Kious June 1987 in Reno, NV.

Mr. Burreson is preceded in death by his parents and by one son, James who passed September 23, 1996.

Survivors include his wife Cheryle Burreson of Copperas Cove; one daughter, Kathelene Thompson of Sacremento, CA; two sons, John Burreson of Sacremento, CA and Tim Hanson of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Barbara Schuster of Riddle, Oregon and Jodi Piniak of Carmichael, CA; and two granddaughters, Hanna and Brooke Thompson of Sacramento, CA.
