Patsy Jean Slaybaugh

Services for Patsy Jean Slaybaugh, 81, of Copperas Cove will be held on Friday August 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove with burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Patsy Jean Slaybaugh was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Carrboro, North Carolina, to Alton Banks Council and Fannie Lee Hunley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Douglas T. Slaybaugh; two sons, Gerald Slaybaugh and James Slaybaugh; a brother, Darrell Council, and her parents.

Survivors include: sons, Douglas T. Slaybaugh II of Wichita Falls, Philip T. Slaybaugh of Temple; daughters, Nola R. McDowell of Commerce, Denise R. Rankin of Copperas Cove, Dawn R. Lyons of Copperas Cove, Rhonda Michael of Harker Heights, Soine R. Fisher of San Antonio; A brother, Kenneth Council and a sister, Cleo Perry; 19 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

She died on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Temple.

A visitation will be held on Thursday August 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.
