Sandra Garcia

Services for Sandra Louise Garcia, 67, will be at 12 p.m. Monday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, with interment to follow at 2 p.m. at the Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Garcia died Sept. 19, 2012. She was born on August 14, 1945 in Wilmington, NC where she was raised and educated.

She married her husband, Humberto Garcia, on March 8, 1963, in El Paso, TX. Humberto served his country in the U.S. Army which took the couple and their family to Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Oklahoma, Hawaii and finally to Copperas Cove in 1977.

She is best remembered as a mother to many. She dedicated her life to the care of her husband and four children. She loved to spend time with her family. Her hobbies included movies and cooking.

She was a beautiful wife, loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and those that knew her. Our world will not be the same without her but we are comforted in knowing that her spirit will always be with us and that she now watches over us from heaven.

Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her parents Bertie and Earl Edwards as well as her brother Wayne Boley.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Humberto Garcia of Copperas Cove; son, Robert Garcia and his wife, Casilda of Pflugerville, TX; Richard Garcia and his wife, Debbie of Pflugerville, TX; daughter Regina Garcia-Funke and her husband John of White Settlement, TX; son, Randal Garcia of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Shelby, Chase, Haley, Jayden and Jeremy.
