Wesson Sterling Temme

Wess passed Thursday, Dec, 27, 2012, after a lengthy illness. He was born July 18, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA. He lived in Copperas Cove for 40 years.

Wess retired from the Army having served 22 years, with several commendations to include: National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; Army Commendation Medal with Valor; Combat Infantryman Badge; Good Conduct Medal and Expert Rifle.

Wess is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia along with daughters Karen Thunert of Dallas, TX, Celeste Smith and husband Ed of Bryan, TX, Pam Kirkpatrick and husband Charlie of Montalba, TX, and son Steve Temme of Copperas Cove.

He will also be missed by his Grandchildren, Eddie, Johnny, Jason, Travis and his wife Mychelle, Ashley, Charles III, Brittny, and late grandson, Brandon.

Wess is also survived by 2 brothers, Bud and Teddy, as well as several nieces and nephews and preceded in death his sisters Susie, Irene, Dottie and brothers Dick and Rodney.

Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
