Billy Lewey

A Celebration of Life Service for Billy Gene Lewey, 89, is set for 2:00 pm Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

A Family and Friends Gathering will be Wednesday from 12:00 to service time.

Billy died March 14, 2026, at his residence. He was born on September 6, 1936, in Alcorn Co. to the late Frank and Ervie Lewey. He was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church and attend Shady Grove Baptist Mission. He was a factory worker for Century Electric, Brown Shoe Co., Parker Hannifin, and also did construction work. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Arnold Lewey; son, Jimmy Lewey; brothers, Dalton, Clifton, Raymond, Ruben, Percey, and Carson Lewey; and sisters, Earcey Horton and Ina Smith.

He survived by his daughter, Pam Prather (Richard); grandson, Christopher Prather (Heather); great grandson, Luke Prather; and a host of other family and friends.
