Donnie Gifford

A Celebration of Life Service for Donnie Gifford, 68, is set for 3:00 pm Thursday at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Bro. Branston Vuncannon, Bro. Rodney Whittemore officiating and Bill Gifford and Jonathan Marsh doing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends gathering will be Thursday from 1:00 to service time at the church.

Donnie died November 3, 2024, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born May 13, 1956 in Alcorn Co. MS to the late Walter Lee Gifford and Lola Mae Wooten Gifford. He was a member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church. He was a maintenance tech for many years, always working on something. He enjoyed looking after his cows and spending time with is grandchildren, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Gifford; grandparents; Ramer & Jennie Wooten, John & Didge Gifford; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marlin Mullins & Nona Mae Mullins; brothers-in-laws, Charles Mullins, Benny Settlemires, Jim Spain; and sister-in-law, Judy Forsythe Gifford.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cherry Gifford; son, Dustin Gifford; daughter, Kala Marsh (Jonathan); grandchildren, Bryant Marsh (Ainsley), Dacy Kate Marsh and Darbi Gifford; brothers, Dave Gifford (Judy), Jerry Gifford (Linda), Bill Gifford; sisters; Mae Harbin (Randall), Jennie Spain (Alton), Mary Shaw (David), Margaret Mills (Anthony); sister-in-law, Patsy Gifford; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Brandon Shaw, Richard Fiveash, Jason Gifford, John Gifford, Kevin Harbin, Wade Gifford, Ben Settlemires, Wesley Settlemires, Chad Gifford.
