Dorothy Louise Haynes

Dorothy Louise Haynes , died Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Mississippi Care Center. Services will be Monday, April 18, 2011, 11:00 am at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the City, Cemetery. Bro. Ted Avant will officiate.

Ms. Haynes was a member of the Waldron Street Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Beta Sigma Phi, Pi Omega Pi. She was a secretary at Tyrone Hydraulics and Dana Corporation for more than thirty-nine years and prior to her career in Corinth she was secretary to the General during the building of the Veteran Hospital in Memphis. She was previously a high school business teacher. Ms. Hayes was a graduate of Corinth High School, attended Mississippi College for Women, Columbus, MS, received a BA Degree from Bowling Green College of Commerce and attended graduate school at the University of Tennessee.

Preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Cinnie Mae Haynes; a sister-in-law, Lee Haynes.

Survivors include her brother, Samuel Alonzo Haynes, of Corinth; Daphne Haynes Anglin (Perry) of Iuka and a great nephew Brian Anglin.

Visitation will be at McPeters, Sunday 3:00 until 8:00pm and Monday 11:00 am until service time.
