Ms. Richardson died Friday, August 13, 2010, at her daughter’s residence. She was born Monday, March 13, 1922 to the late John Bedford and Carrie Emma Nelson Shaw in Tippah County, MS. During her life she worked at I.T.T. and retired from the grocery store that her and her late husband owned.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Richardson; two brothers, Howard and Manual Shaw; and five sisters Lucille Bass, Mae Birdsong, Atna Woods, Josie Barnes and Retha Britt.
she is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ashcraft and her husband Claude; three sisters, Katie Allen, Helen Shackelford and Rosilee Dickson; three grandchildren, Timothy Ashcraft and his wife Donna, Anthony Ashcraft and Wendy Walters and her husband Jack; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. till 6:00 P.M. and from 10:00 A.M. till service time on Monday.
