

A Celebration of Life with Military Honors for Jerry Wayne Eaton will be 11am on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Westmoreland and Bro. Cory Holley officiating. Burial will follow at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pm Tuesday, May 20, 2025 and 10am until service time at the church.
Jerry, 76, of Corinth passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Mississippi VA Veterans Home in Oxford. He was born in Alcorn County on November 3, 1948 to the late Willie Lee Eaton and Maudie Faye Eaton.
Jerry was a proud veteran, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather. He enlisted on May 7, 1968 and served this country honorably in the United States Army as a Specialist Fourth Class. In Vietnam, he was awarded the Purple Heart, National Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Jerry worked for Kimberly Clark for 27 years before retiring in 2012. He was a dedicated member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Nell White (Ottis).
Jerry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rhonda Eaton; sons, Timothy Eaton (Tiffany), Steven Eaton (Jessica) and Lucas Eaton (Erin); 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Gerald Tucker; sister-in-law, Donna Wildmon (Larry); and aunt, Linda Marcum.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Tyler Eaton, Spencer Eaton, Hunter Eaton, Trevor Eaton, Sam Eaton, Hank Eaton, and Jake Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Mississippi VA Veterans Home in Oxford, MS in Jerry's memory. (120 Veterans' Drive Oxford, MS 38655.)
