Leroy Willis

Funeral services for Leroy Willis 89 are set for 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dewayne Kirk and Bro. Josh Hodum officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mr. Willis died January 28, 2015 at his residence. He was February 19, 1925 in Alcorn Co to the late Robert Lee Willis and Dolly McNeal Willis. He was a sharecropper for many years and then worked at Gateway Handle Mill where he retired after 31 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and working in his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Carlton Willis, Delbert Willis, Troy Willis, Bobby Willis, sisters Rachel Spencer, Hazel Barnes, Lorraine Dildy, Mable Crum and a infant sister.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Maxine Griggs Willis, daughters Katherine (Wayne) Hodum, Janette (Larry) Glidewell, Peggy (Gary) Johnson, Gail (Joe) Sanders, son Charles (Sandra) Willis all of Corinth, MS. He has 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, brother James Willis of Holly Spring, MS. sister Ruby Mullins of Corinth, MS. Host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers Kenneth Duncan, Dallas Sanders, Greg Jones, Eric Austin, Mike Austin, Josh Russell, Cody Duncan.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 9 Friday at the funeral home
