Lola V. Mathis

Funeral service for Lola V. Mathis 86 are set for 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Mills and Bro. Larry Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mathis died November 7, 2012 at her daughter residence. She was born September 7, 1926 in Alcorn Co. to the late Bill and Ruth Willis. She was a member of God’s Church and a housewife. She enjoyed gardening, reading her bible and spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband J.D. Mathis, parents, brother Howard Willis, sisters Annie B. Glidewell and Jewell Martin, son-in-law Dwain Whitehurst.

Survived by her daughters Carolyn M. Whitehurst of Corinth, MS. Debbie (Harold) M. Thomas of Canton, MS. sister Beulah (Gary) Lancaster of Memphis, TN. Grandchildren Kendle (Nathan) Dean of Canton, MS. Jana (Jonathan) Cagle, Andrea (Anthony) Coleman all of Corinth, MS. Baron (Elizabeth) Thomas of Morgantown, NC. Great grandchildren McKenzie and Isabella Coleman, Fairley Lola, Tytus, Caleb Dean, Lillian Thomas. Host of other family and friends.
