Marilyn Vanderford

Mrs. Vanderford died January 31, 2013 at North MS Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1940 to the late Marcus Candler and Willie Ethel McDowell. She was a devoted pastor wife for over 50 years with her husband Bro. Jimmy Vanderford who preceded her in death. A member of Shady Grove Baptist Mission. She formerly worked at Wurlitzer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church family.

Preceded in death by her husband Bro. Jimmy Vanderford, Parents, brothers Herman McDowell his wife Barbara, Jim McDowell his wife Betty, Ernest McDowell, sister Edith Porterfield her husband Hester.

Survived by her son Jackie Vanderford his wife Lynn, daughter Charlotte King her husband Phil all of Corinth, MS. grandchildren Lanie King her fiancé Will Anderson, Shawn and Tran Vanderford, 7 great great grandchildren, sister –in-law Ruby McDowell. Host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and her church family.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Family will receive friends Saturday 5 to 8 and Sunday from 1 to service time at the funeral home.
