Mary Frances "Fuzzy" Whitaker

A Celebration of Life Service for Mary Frances "Fuzzy" Whitaker, 83, of Corinth is set for 1:00 pm Friday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery.

Family and Friends Gathering is Friday from 11:00 am to service time.

Mary died Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born September 30, 1940 in McNairy Co., TN to the late Oles and Lola Smith of Gravel Hill. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and retired from ITT. She enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Rocky Whitaker and Terry Whitaker; son-in-law, Jerry Edwards; and brother, Bobby Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Delane Whitaker; son, Scotty Whitaker (Sandy); daughter, Lisa Whitaker Edwards; daughter-in-law, Susan Whitaker; sisters, Peggy Inman, Diane Mathis, and Wanda Faye Seago; grandchildren, Justin Whitaker, Josh Whitaker (Paige), Ciarra Edwards Hollifield (Adam), and Skyler Edwards; great grandchildren, Mason, Bradlee and Crew Whitaker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
