Sonya S. Morphis

Sonya passed away on January 4, 2016 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born on February 20, 1968 in Memphis. She was a member of Foote Street Church of Christ. and loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Sonya was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Rubine Shoffner and Doug and Ruby Stanford; step-father, Kenneth South; and a brother, Ralph Shoffner.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Taylor of Corinth; daughter, Brianna Gray (Brandon), granddaughter, MaryAnna Morgan Gray all of Corinth; mother, Peggy South of Corinth; father, Louis Shoffner (Carolyn) of Michie; brother, Chris Shoffner (Stacy) of Michie and their children, Angelica Phitzintger (Aleric), Christopher Shoffner, and Christen Shoffner; sister, Sandra Kettler (Terry) of Tishomingo and their children, Ashley Brown (Devin), Jared Kettler (Amber), and Brook Kettler; aunt, Linda Weaver of Kossuth; and uncles, Larry Stanford (Lynn), Denny Stanford, and Arthur Shoffner. Sonya also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be, Brandon Gray, Jared Kettler, Devin Brown, Chance Perry, Rodney Wilson, and Michael Lewis.

Visitation will begin today at Memorial Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until service time
