Steven was an inspiration to many people and served them in many ways. He was a graduate of MS State University and The University of North Alabama where he received degrees in social work and nursing. Steven also served his nation in the United States National Guard. He was a faithful and devoted member of St. James Catholic Church in Corinth. He was an outgoing soul and traveled many places throughout his lifetime, but the most important days were spent playing board games with his nieces and nephews. Steven was an avid MS State fan, following soccer, football, and the majority of their sports teams. He enjoyed cooking, reading and playing video games. Steven will be greatly missed by those he served and inspired throughout his lifetime.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, B.B. and Lillian Thetford and James and Edna Brasfield; his father, Ronald Claburn; and a brother, Charles Claburn.
Mr. Claiborne is survived by his mother, Donna McClintock (Gerald); sister, Elizabeth Tyler (Julian); brother, David Claburn (Minda); three nieces, Reilly Ellis (Wayne), Leiah Claburn, and Sarah Taketani; three nephews, Chase Claburn (Tori), Allen Millican, and Grayson Taketani.
