Mr. Newton died on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Oak Brook Village in Huntington, IN. He was born on February 9, 1920 in Wheeler, MS to the late Oscar and Susie White Newton. Mr. Newton retired from Worsham Brothers, was an avid gardner and a member of Civilian Conservation Corps.
Along with his parents, Mr. Newton was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Gladis, Syble, John, Willard, Lethie, Arley, William, C.T., Virginia, and Modenia.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Warford and Carolyn Frye and husband Denis; one son Curtis Newton and wife Sally; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
