

Services to celebrate the life of Vila Newman Null, 91, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home in downtown Corinth with burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time.
Vila passed away on Thursday January 15, 2025, at Diversa Care in Ripley. She was born in Alcorn County on August 20, 1934, to the late Arthur and Clara Hicks Newman. She was of the Christian faith. She worked at the Corinth Hosiery Mill until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Lee Null; son, David Barnes; great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Moffitt; sister, Oma Ree Hall; brothers, Olen, Glenn, James and A.B. Newman.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Bennett (Gary) of Saltillo; son, Kevin Null (Ava) of Walnut; sister, Kay Yancey of Ripley; grandchildren, Anissa Bates Garrison (Randy) of Fulton, Caleb Null and Scott Null of Corinth; great-grandchildren, Seth Moffitt of Ripley, Shane Moffitt of Fulton and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Bro. Joe Spencer will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be Donald Yancey, Chase Yancey, Randy Garrison and honorary pallbearers will be R.L. Mathis and Harold Wilbanks.
