Wilma Davis

Services for Wilma Davis, 94, will be 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 16, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Warren Jones and Bro. Harold Pounders officiating. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery.

Ms. Davis died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Mississippi Care Center. She was born March 9, 1917, in Tippah County to the late Oscar and Minnie Brooks. She was a former seamstress and a member of Danville Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Davis; three brothers, Joel, William Lee and Jeff; and five sisters, Maudie, Gurt, Glen, Lois and Beatrice.

Survivors include her daughter, Jodie Crowe and her husband, Vernon of Rienzi; her sons, J.R. Davis his wife, Imogene of Walnut, Taylor Davis of Double Spring, Ala., Garvin Davis, Gene Davis and his wife, Dorothy Nell and Ellis Davis, all of Rienzi; a special friend, Faye Jones; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Davis, Scotty Davis, Eddie Davis, Chris Davis, Brian Davis, Doyle Davis, Jimmy Lee Davis, Timothy Crowe and Shane Crowe.

Visitation will be on Sunday , May 15, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and from 11:00 A.M. until service time Monday.
