It is with profound sadness yet deep gratitude and joy for a life so richly lived, that the family announces the passing of Beatrice Lazore peacefully at home with family by her side on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of 93 years.
Beloved wife of the late Russell P. Lazore.
Loving mother of Nancy Guilmette (Fred), Christine Francis, Floanne Burns, Thomas Lazore, Loran Lazore (Susie), Danielle (Michael), and chosen mom of Lloyd “JR” Benedict. Treasured grandmother of James (Kayla), Jillian (Dante), Sakaronhiotane, Takaronhiotakie, Stella, Michael, Nicole, Andrew, Lawrence, Riley, Jacob and Sophia. Proud great-grandmother of Xander, James, Isyse, Aubrey, Sarah and Kendra. Dear mother-in-law of Christine Lazore. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Beatrice is predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Christie (née Jacobs) Francis, her brothers Philip (late Beatrice), Mose (late Minnie), Joseph (late Christine), Louis (late Mary), Abraham and Jake (late Harriet) as well as her sisters Marjorie (late Simon), Charlotte (late Dave), Helen (late Charles) and Louise.
Beatrice was a member of the Akwesasne Death Benefits. Resting in home, 23 James Lane, Akwesasne, ON, from 2:00 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025 until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Regis Mission Catholic Church, 3rd Street, Akwesasne, QC, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Cremation to follow. Arrangements under the care and direction of Lahaie and Sullivan West Branch - 20 Seventh Street W, Cornwall.
