Catherine Ann Levac

Cathy is predeceased by her beloved husband, George Levac, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. She was a devoted and loving mother to her children: Gilles Levac (Karen), Suzanne Stang (Jeff, predeceased), Sara Blacker (Dan) and Allison Levac (Gregg Robideau).

She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Matthew (predeceased), Braeden, James, Spencer, Nathan, Sydney, William, Hunter and Morgan. Her grandchildren were a constant source of joy and amazement in her life.

Cathy was predeceased by her parents, whom she adored, Cecil and Frances Kenny. She is survived by her siblings David Kenny (Keitha, predeceased) and Jean-Marie Stewart (Richard) with whom she shared an enduring connection. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family. She spent many enjoyable hours talking and catching-up with family over the years.

Cathy had a deep passion for genealogy and found great joy in researching family histories; helping others discover their roots. Through this work, she connected generations and preserved stories that will live on for years to come.

She enjoyed playing games, loved gardening, sewing, and reading. Over the years, she took joy in Celtic music and the sight of her family making music and highland dancing. Her faith was a steadfast source of comfort for her.

She will be remembered for her kindness and her genuine interest in others. Cathy held dear the many wonderful friends she made over the years.

Her warmth, curiosity and love for those around her will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In keeping with Catherine’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH, 20 SEVENTH STREET W, CORNWALL, ON (613-932-8482) on Friday May 22, 2026, at 10:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, for which Cathy was a longtime canvasser. Alternatively, donations may be made to the Cornwall Community Hospital in thanks for the care and compassion they provided Cathy in her final days.
