Loving husband of 65 years to Katherine “Kay” Dubreuil (née Kubisewsky). Cherished father of: Karen Bouchard, Bonnie Mitchell (Romaine) and the late David Dubreuil (1986). Treasured grandfather of: Taylor Mitchell (Ashley), Amanda Mitchell, and Quentin Bouchard. Adoring great grandfather of: Balen Mitchell, Jackson Mitchell and step great grandfather of Kairo Mitchell. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.
Clarence is predeceased by his parents Ovila and Catherine (née Dargus) Dubreuil; as well as his siblings Cora Foy (late Mel), Carl (late Gladys), Patrick (late Ruby), Raymond (Dorine), Murray (Carol), and Richard (late Agnes).
Clarence was a hoisting engineer with International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 793 and honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus (KofC) for 25 years. After retirement, he and Kay enjoyed spending their winters in Florida for many years. He enjoyed carving birds out of wood, going fishing and he took great pride in his garden. He was known to many as Mr. Fix-It and always had solutions to any problems. He loved doing jigsaw puzzles. He also enjoyed sharing his personal experiences through avid story telling. He will be greatly missed.
Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH, 20 SEVENTH STREET W, CORNWALL on Friday November 8, 2024 between the hours of 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 9 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 434 Second Street W, Cornwall, ON at 10:00AM followed by cremation.
Interment of remains in St. Martin of Tours Parish Cemetery in Whitney, Ontario at a later date.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations to the Children’s Treatment Centre, Carefor Hospice Cornwall or to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
