Edna Theoret

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Edna Theoret (née Ivens) surrounded by loved ones at Woodland Villa in Long Sault, on Thursday October 30, 2025, at the age of 93 years.

Beloved wife of the late Alcide Theoret. Loving mother of: Evelyn Godard (Dean), Henry Theoret (Joanne), Mike Theoret (Olive), and Diane Blue. Proud grandmother of: Gilles Godard (Amy), Daniel Godard (Krista), Robert Theoret (Deborah), Tina Theoret, Nicholas Blue (Kayla), Madison Blue, Emaly, Alyssa, Fred, Mikey, Trevor Gaucher, Trevor Levac, Casey and Eric; great grandmother of: Jennifer Clarkson (Brenden), Isabelle Godard (Tom), Janelle Godard (Parker), Monica Theoret and Myles; and great great grandmother of: Everly, Weston, Rose and Silas. Treasured sister of: Dorothy Morrison and Elizabeth Thompson.

Edna is predeceased by her parents Ernest and Pearl (née Laperle) Ivens; her brother Kenneth Ivens and her sister Jean Derochie.

Anyone who knew Edna loved her. She was quiet and sweet, but you sure didn't mess with her! Strong, independent, energetic, stubborn, sweet, funny, all rolled up in a tiny little lady. Her favourite thing to do the last few years were car rides, and she had many right until the end. We hope this last ride brings you to some amazing places.

In keeping with Edna’s wishes cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH 20 SEVENTH STREET WEST, CORNWALL on Friday November 21, 2025 between the hours of 2:00PM to 6:00PM.

Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Cornwall and District would be greatly appreciated by the family.
