Eileen Marie Walker

October 31, 1938-April 13, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our deeply beloved mother and grandmother, Eileen Marie Walker, who left us on April 13, 2025, at the age of 86. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Ferdinand and Florence Guindon, and by her husband, Burton Walker. Eileen was the loving mother of Brian (Monique), Brenda (late Jon Handy), Brent, and Beth Jakubec (Darren). Eileen was the proud and adoring “Nanny” to Kathleen, Barret, Sydney, and Timothy Walker, Bianca and Julia Walker, and Josef and Sofia Jakubec.

Eileen leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion. Her joy came from time spent with her children and grandchildren, whom she supported with warmth, kindness, and pride. Her presence was a constant comfort in all of our lives and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff and nurses at Cornwall Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Eileen’s final weeks.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street W., (613-932-8482). As per her wishes, Eileen has been cremated, and an urn committal will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Cornwall Hospice in Eileen’s memory.
