It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Florence Whitford at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the age of 74 years. Much loved daughter of the late William and the late Kathleen (née Flaro) Thauvette.
Loving mother of Debbie Bertrand (Andre), Donna Murrell (Stephane), Bonnie Murrell and Angela Massia (David). Treasured grandmother of Ashley, Kristen, Emily, Brittney and Justin. Proud great-grandmother of Elyza and Nova. Dear sister of Kenneth Thauvette (Linda), Jordy Lafave and Gary Lafave (Lisa).
Predeceased by her sons Brian Murrell and Robert Murrell, her grandchildren Andrea and Ethan, her sisters Darlene Thauvette, Diane Bartsch and Mary Matte as well as her brothers William Thauvette and Johnny Lafave.
In keeping with Florence’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Army, Navy & Air Force Club, Cornwall, ON, on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at St. Williams Cemetery, Martintown, ON, on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:00 am.
