I was very sad to hear of Gordie's passing.  He was always fun to be around whenever he joined our family at gatherings with Dave & Mimi. His wit and wonderful sense of humour were always prevalent.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Anthony is one of my best friends, and as a kid who didn't grow up with a father, I have always watched and listened to how the Mann family interacted with a deeper attention than anyone may have ever known.

Gord and Marilyn have done an amazing job of raising respectful, well-adjusted gentlemen and contributors to society, and this is a big part of Gord's legacy.

In high school, when "the boys" would come home at 3am after a night out on the town, Marilyn would get up and make us breakfast, despite our objections, and Gord would get up, ask a few questions to make sure we still had our wits about us and then head back to bed. We knew that their home was always open, but you had to carry yourself properly and treat others the right way. This is a lesson from Gord & Marilyn that I will pass on.

Very sorry to hear about Gordon's passing. I first met him at my own Fathers burial, as Gordon was helping out John Sullivan that weekend. It turned out we were neighbours and soon we were stopping to talk on Champlain Dr on many a morning over the last decade . He loved his dog and after he no longer had his he was always happy to see mine.  I always enjoyed our conversations,. He often talked about his sons and their families and it was obvious he was very 
proud . My sincerest condolences to the Mann family at this sad time.

Every now and then someone walks into your life and re-enforces your faith in mankind.  Gord did just that.   This gentle man that could converse with anyone about anything has touched the lives of so many.  He showed concern and respect for all and always had a kind word.  Gord's legacy will live on through the love of his life, Marlyn, his sons, which made him so proud and have his values, Anthony (Tanya) and Chris and the precious little ones that referred to him as Pops, Rachel, Brandon, Justin and Ella. Marilyn, Anthony and Chris, please accept our heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the recent passing of Gordon.  Although we did not get to know Gordon, we did have the pleasure of knowing Chris while he and our son, Brandon attended Elmira College as well as playing hockey together.  We also had the pleasure of having Chris stay with us in Sudbury while he was training with the Sudbury Police Dept.  Needless to say that Gordon's legacy is in good hands with his sons.
