Grace McGill Hickey

Mrs. Grace Hickey (nee Hickey) passed away on May 21, 2018, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late John Burt Hickey. Dear mother of Kathleen (Michel Brunet) and Patricia (Raymond Besner) both of Cornwall. Dear sister of Anne Walton (late Peter) of Mississauga. Loving Grandmother to Katie Vachon (Eric), Ryan Meek (Patty Daigle), Robert (B.J.) Chesebro, Alexandra Besner (Matthew Girgis), and Shane Besner. Also survived by 8 Great-grandchildren. Grace enjoyed the friendship of her extended family Audrey and David Hickey, Nancy Hickey (late Elwin) and Merilyn and Gordon Hickey. Predeceased by her parents, Rosalyn Clapham and Patrick Joseph Hickey, brothers Robert and Albert, sisters Lillian Hamelin, Marguerite Griffith and Eleanor Secour. Graces’ home for several years had been The Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge. Very special thanks to the staff of the second floor, Dr. Patel, and all those who directly and indirectly cared for Grace. Your support helped make Graces’ final years a safe journey from her first day in your care to her last. Arrangements are in the care of M. John Sullivan Funeral Home. As per Grace’s wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements for memorial and internment will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge would be appreciated.
