In fond & loving memories of Aunt Hazel: Growing up our families were so entwined it was sometimes difficult to know where ours started and theirs ended. Although genetically it was easy to understand ( Aunt Hazel was my mom' older sister & Uncle Darcy was my dad's uncle & brother in law at the same time). But it was more than that, it was a true sense of family; whether it was the warm greeting or the stern word to keep you in line. You weren't going to get away with anything! Speaking of anything, there wasn't anything Aunt Hazel couldn't do! Out to the barn before day light, then back to the house just in time to marshal the preparation of breakfast. Wow, what a woman! She was like a commanding general executing a well oiled plan. And sometimes it was after a night of partying; playing cards or dancing with a house full of family. I remember several times us driving the long lane in blinding snow, only to get stuck & having to walk the rest of the way. Regardless of how cold we were, we trudged on knowing that the warmth of the old wood stove awaited us. Needless to say there are so many memories that come to mind, it would take a book to capture them all. But it suffices to say that no matter the time of year, whether we were pitching hay, shoveling snow or manure; we had a great time! Sleigh rides, picking raspberries, spear fishing or rounding up the cows for milking we enjoyed every minute! My last fond memory of time with Aunt Hazel was the day Debbie and I took her & mom out for ice cream & a drive. As we drove we went down the Track road, past where Grandpa & Granny Dupuis lived & onto Summers town. As we meandered through the country side, I could see in my mind's eye the many fond memories of not only my time as a kid; but that of Aunt Hazel's & mom's & the countless events. This is where Aunt Hazel's stories begun. Thank you Aunt Hazel for the wonderful person you are and the fantastic memories you gave us all! Love Gary, your God-son

So sad to hear of the passing of Hazel Dupuis. Although I had not seen Mrs Dupuis for many years, I remember her as a strong, determined woman who worked hard on the neighbouring farm raising many lovely children. Daughter Dianne was a school friend for many years but we have also unfortunately lost touch but I have never forgotten her. My deepest condolences to all the family.

Both Richard and I feel so blessed to have known Hazel and to have such wonderful memories of laughter, card games and endless family gatherings with guitar playing and song at the family farm. Blessings and deepest condolences to the family. ♥️

My sincere condolences to the entire Dupuis family. Mrs. Dupuis was one of a kind. She always welcomed everyone into her home and made sure our bellies were full. She was a great cook, made the best dill pickles & even played softball with us when we were short players! She was loved by everyone & will be missed by all. RIP Mrs. Dupuis.
