POIRIER, Irene M. – On Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Mrs. Irene Poirier of Cornwall; age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Rémi J. Poirier. Cherished mother of Claude Jules Poirier and Pamela Anne Poirier. Loving grandmother of Julie Ruest (Sean) and Christian Poirier. Dear great-grandmother of Bailey and Jordan. Beloved sister of Simone Marleau, Lucille Primeau, Rollande Lafave, Linda Samson and Judy Aubin. Predeceased by her parents Donat and Agnes (née St-Denis) Aubin. Also predeceased by her siblings Hilaire, Réne, Muriel, Rose Marie, Anna, Leona, Jean, Terry and Doreen. Irene will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613) 932-8482 from 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
