BETHUNE, Irwin – At Cornwall Community Hospital, on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Irwin Bethune of Cornwall; age 76 years. Loving husband for 50 years to Mary Jane Bethune (Dazé) Caring father of Ian Bethune, Shelley Groulx-Loiselle (Marc Loiselle) of Cornwall, Brenda Kruders-Cloutier of Brockville, Jenny Bethune of Orleans and Eric Bethune of Cornwall. Proud grandfather of Chrissy and Kayla Groulx, Melanié Loiselle, Blake Kruders, Chanelle Cloutier and Athena Bethune. Will be remembered fondly by sisters Norma Aikman (Bobby) and Jean Sanguin. Cherished guardian to nephew Lee Bethune (Anne), and the late David Bethune (Sanrda). Dear son of the late John Alexander (Allie) and Bertha Bethune. Predeceased by brother Arnold Bethune (the late Dawn), infant brother Lorne Hugh, and son’s-in-law Ron Groulx and Rob Kruders. Resting at Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. West (613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. Friday. Funeral Saturday, July 28, 2012, St. John’s Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m.(where Irwin was an Elder). The family will be in attendance on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday at St. John’s Presbyterian Church from 10 a.m. until the time of Service.
