To the Baird family,

I have just heard about Kevin’s passing. I was so sorry to hear. I can attest firsthand that he really did bring humour and strength to his time with his illness. The family support that he had was so admirable. Mrs. Baird, you were an inspiration to me as a teacher and more recently too, as I observed you in your role as a loving partner. He was so very lucky to have his family.

We have many fond and humorous memories of our two families as next door neighbours enjoying cottage life on the Raisin River .

Dear Susan and Family,
My brother, Richard, who lives in Victoria but often reads the Standard Freeholder, sent me a text to let me know of your loss of Kevin. I am truly saddened by this news. 
I have such fond memories of Kevin from CCVS; he often made me laugh! And I watched your love blossom and overcome obstacles in those tender and later years. I admire and celebrate your long relationship. Your children were treated to a gem of a father, and they are blessed to have you as their mum! I have many excellent memories of our friendship, Susan. Kindly remember me to Ellen.
