Margaret was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, where she lived for much of her life. She worked for many years as a dental assistant and found great joy in gardening, sewing, music, and spending time with family. She especially loved staying with her daughter and son-in-law in the Hudson Valley, New York, and treasured her trips to Hawaii and Scotland with her beloved husband, Hugh Dick Jr. She later moved to Ontario to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law.
Margaret was tenderly cared for by Sherrie Caron and Michelle Fontaine, whose kindness and steady presence brought great comfort in her final years. Her family is also deeply grateful to all the devoted and professional staff at Heartwood Long Term Care Home in Cornwall for their unwavering dedication and heartfelt compassion.
Margaret is survived by Kathleen and Richard Bell, and her stepchildren Doug McLellan, Marilyn Mazar, and Jessie Johnson and their families. She was predeceased by her stepdaughter Barbara La Fave.
