Marion Kinnear

She now joins her late husband Alton Kinnear (1980).

Loving mother of Edwin Kinnear (Monique), Dale Kinnear (Joy), Brian Kinnear (Julie), Randy Kinnear (Brenda), and Brenda Kinnear (Michael) and daughter-in-law Donna McPhail.

Cherished sister of Johnny Kirkey (Jean), and James Kirkey (late Arlene).

Loving grandmother to Caleb, Collin, Conor, Tara, Drew, Emily, Sam, Travis, Justin, Andrea and twelve great grandchildren.

She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends, extended family and by those lives that she had touched. She truly will be missed.

Marion is predeceased by her parents James and Nicholas Kirkey, and by her sons Kevin and David Kinnear, along with her sisters Helen Leroux (late Raymond) and Kathleen Larkin (late Raymond).

Lifelong resident of South Branch Road Cornwall, where she was born and lived for most of her years, raising her family as a devoted mother, grandmother and caregiver.

After raising her family, she found time to travel. She would enjoy travelling across Canada, Alaska, Baffin Islands and exploring the world to many new places including China.

When she was home, Marion found time to volunteer at Glen-Stor-Dun Lodge and working with Cornwall Public Library.

The family wishes to thank the staff at both Sandfield Place and Southbridge Cornwall for the care and compassion they provided for our mother.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service that will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Knox-St. Paul’s United Church with Rev. Erin McIntyre officiating.
