O'Donald "Odie" Laffin

Suddenly on January 1, 2016 at Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site. O’Donald Bazil Laffin “Odie” of Akwesasne; age 28 years. Cherished son of Debbie Cree and Andrew Laffin “Anjo”. Loving brother of Lawrence Jock. Loving godson of Shannon Oakes. Predeceased by his maternal grandparents Cecelia Ann (Sunday) Cree, Kaiahtanoron and Paul Cree, Aronhiawenhrate, his paternal grandparents Agatha Hattie Lazore Laffin and O’Donald Bazil Laffin, his step-father Wallace Jock and by godfather Mose Laffin.

Odie is remembered as a talented tattoo artist, a singing-rapping-dancing musician. He was an avid pool player and loved spending time on the river. Odie is fondly remembered as the life of the party. He always had a smile on his face and if you were ever feeling down, Odie had a knack for lifting your spirits up. He left his mark with his friends, the “G-Snye” guys and will be lovingly remembered by his many friends, cousins, aunties and uncles.

Friends may call at Homemakers in Snye. The family will be in attendance from 1 pm Tuesday until Thursday at 1 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Homemaker's Centre on Thursday at 1pm followed by a celebratory meal at the Snye Recreation Center.
