Doyle, Penelope – Passed peacefully with family by her side on Sunday July 20, 2025 at Hospice Cornwall. Penelope “Penny” Doyle (Née Malone) of Cornwall, age 76 years. Beloved wife of 54 years to Michael “Mike” Doyle. Cherished mother of Amy Dickson (Mike), Meghan Henry (Brian) and Bryan Doyle. Loving Grandmother of Evan and Camden Dickson and Kieran and Eleanor Henry. Penny will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Beloved daughter of the late Theodore Malone and the late Florence Jones. Predeceased by her brother Terry (Harlene) Malone and sister Sandra Malone as well as her uncle Bill Lipset, who was very much a father figure to Penny, after her own father’s passing at a young age.
Penny grew up in Toronto with her mother, brother, and sister, cherishing many memorable summers at the family cottage on Lake St. Peter, memories she looked back on with great fondness throughout her life.
After high school, Penny attended the University of Toronto, where she studied languages and earned her degree in education. It was there that she met the love of her life, Michael.
Following graduation, Penny and Michael moved to Cornwall, where they began their careers and started a family together. Over the years, they shared many adventures, traveling extensively, exploring new countries, and forming lasting friendships around the world.
Penny had a deep love of learning and discovery. She was an exceptional cook and baker, and found great joy in spending time in the kitchen with her grandchildren. She was also an avid reader and a loyal Blue Jays fan.
Above all, Penny was a kind, patient, and beautiful soul—inside and out. She will be remembered with love and missed deeply by all who knew her.
